What's the Difference?
How is functional treatment of dermatology disease different than conventional medical model?
Current medical model for treatment.
Why is a functional approach to treating many dermatological diseases not achievable in a convention medicine office….time and personalized care. While conventional medicine works well for many others feel it has not me their needs. That’s were a functional approach might be right for you. Utilizing diet, lifestyle changes and natural supplements can offer the changes you’re looking for and conventional medicine can’t give you. You needed to be treated as a whole person not just a unit
What can a functional approach to treatment get me that a conventional dermatology visit can’t.
A functional approach to treatment generally requires more in depth laboratory evaluation, starting with a GI Map and possibly an OAT test. It is well documented about the gut skin and even gut brain connection. This generally requires more time with the patient, something that’s not designed into the traditional conventional model.
Let us take time with you. Often people don’t know why they have the disease they have; what are the risks for developing the disease, consequences of uncontrolled inflammation and options for management both conventional and functional treatment plans. Many times, patients want a root cause or “natural” approach and that’s where I can help.
Treatment plans focus on:
-
Nutrition
-
Utilize science backed supplements and if need be conventional therapies
-
